Worms at West!

We have a few new school pets….WORMS!! This week our Environmental Leaders were helped by parent Bonnie Martin-Giles (Finn Kozac’s mum from 1/2P) to put together our very own West Worm Farm. Students laid the foundations of pebbles, dirt, cow manure, hessian, shredded paper and water to make a comfy house for the worms inside an old bathtub. As well as the chooks, our worms will share the food scraps from student lunches – reducing our waste going to landfill.

Well done to the Enviro leaders who braved the cold and helped set the worm farm up. A big ‘thank you’ also to Bonnie for organising the materials and chatting to the leaders about the foods the worms can eat.
