Success at the Mini Fete

On Wednesday 21st of July, we had our Mini Fete.

My group was Nail Polish, we earned $50.40 and got a total of $37.95 in profit. It was a hard job painting all those nails, but I had fun anyway, all of my group contributed.

We had to manage our waste at the end of the fete. Tissues and soft plastic went in the rubbish bin, while cardboard went in the recycling bin.

Water Balloon Blast at the Mini Fete

On the 21st of July, the grade 5/6’s ran a mini fete. We had groups up to 3 or 4 kids involved in each group. There were lots of fun activities such as footy kick, water balloons, nail painting, face painting, mud bucket, drinks, lucky dip, lolly jar, raffle tickets and more…

My store was Water Balloon Blast and we raised $92.15c. We were  organised with our waste and reused the water on the garden and recycled what we could.

The Lucky Dip was popular at the Mini Fete.

On Wednesday 21st of July the grade 5/6 classes had the Mini Fete. My group had a  Lucky Dip and Lolly Jar stall. The Lucky Dip sold out in 5 minutes. It was really hard but my group helped me. In the end over all it was pretty good fun.

After the little kids had gone back inside it was time to pack up. Most groups had mostly waste that you had to recycle. I think the bin was a quarter full of recycling when we had finished. The only problem was the lolly pop wrappers. They were everywhere. I think it was because so many stalls had those lollies . We had to have lollies that were all individually wrapped for health reasons.

Mini fete

Mini fete was great. We did face painting and rasied $186 dollars. Overall we had a lot of people lined up for our stall and had all sorts of designs for boys and girls. We managed to recycle all the containers we used.

Mini Fete 2010

Mini Fete 2010 was a  great success and a whole lot of  fun. My stall was Face painting. I had 5 other ‘staff members’ and they were Molly, Kelsey, Georgia C, Peta and Georgia T. Our stall raised $186 and $162 profit. I had a great time and THIS year at least everyone got a fair go at our stall. I painted a whole lot of faces and was the Service person on the last shift. We packed up after the fete finished and we had no rubbish at all. We only had a few newspapers which were recycled. I had a great time and it was the best fete I had been in.

Mini Fete.

For Mini Fete, Molly, Sophie, Kelsey, Peta, Georgia and I Me, held a stall called Face Painting. We raised $162.00 when we took away the float and the money we spent. We cleaned up all our rubbish at the end in our area, making sure it went in the right bin. Mini Fete was really fun! (:

Mini Fete 2010

There was a lot of waste on the ground and we still had to pick it up. Even though everyone was tired we had to make an effort. It was the 21st of July and the Mini fete had just ended.

We got the empty buckets from our store and started to pick up all the little water balloon pieces off the ground. We hadn’t counted how much money we had made because we were too busy picking rubbish up.

It took about half an hour for the oval to be relatively clean and the tables, chairs and other things to be put back into the classroom. We then got our money and counted it.  Altogether we had made $88.85 and $73.85 profit. It was a fun but tiring day.

Leave the area clean: Mini Fete

On Wednesday the 21st July our school had a Mini Fete. We had a lot of rubbish on the ground but we all did our part to help clean up and recycle. Some stores had paper so they recycled it others had cardboard so they put it in the recycling bin.

I hope you all would do the same.:) :P :j

Mini Fete

On Wednesday the 21st of July our school had a Mini Fete. We had a lot of rubbish we had to pick it all up and put in the right bin. If the rubbish is not in the right bin the rubbish man will not pick up our rubbish. Instead he will put a sticker on the bin. Everyone had a great time.

Chug for your Ching

At our stall for the Mini Fete we were running Chug for your Ching.

we were using plastic cups and put them straight in the recycling bin at the side of our stall.  This kept our area very tidy.
