Saving Energy: Reflection on my poem

I recently wrote a poem about how to save energy. Something I liked about my poem was how I made the start of it rhyme. It took a bit of time but I did finish most of it in one session. One thing that challenged me was making the end rhyme. I kind of ran out of ideas and didn’t know what to do. Something I could do better was probably make my poem a bit more descriptive and detailed.

Birds at Lake Ranfurly

There are many birds’ habitats at Lake Ranfurly. It is up to us to make sure we look after this area.

I have researched the Splendid Fairy Wren. This bird lives in woodlands and some dense shrublands. The Splendid Fairy Wren lays 2 to 4 dull white eggs with reddish brown splotches on them. Another interesting fact: this bird has an average of 5 different shades of blue in its feathers.

Going to Rio Vista Park

I enjoyed going to Rio Vista Park on Thursday. There was a lot of interesting items that were waiting to be picked up. Hannah found a pizza box. Chloe and I found a paper bag that said ‘Adelaide Zoo’ on it. I believe we made quite a diffrence to the Park and I hope to go again someday soon.
